YOUR CHURCH FOR YOUTH

Youth

We love our young people and want to help them grow into the people God has made them to be, equipped to face the challenges ahead of them.

Our youth meet regularly to play games, do fun activities, and have deep discussions.

Every week we spend time looking at God’s Word through a Bible study or interactive talk. We split into older and younger age groups for discussion and prayer.

Lots of good discussion and challenging thoughts when Theo is leading!

Tuesdays - Year 6-13 term time

7-8:30pm at Central Hall - Collier Room on the first floor

Sundays

4:00pm at Central Hall - during service

To help our youth transition from being in kids work to being in Sunday services, we run a group for those in the summer term of their Year 6 and stay until near the end of their year 8.

This follows a 4 week programme:

WEEK ONE - STUDYING different aspects of church

WEEK TWO - in the service for the SERMON

WEEK THREE - SERVING on a Sunday team

WEEK FOUR - staying in the whole service when we have the Lord’s SUPPER

For those in Year 9 and above, we have a Youth App that we can use during the sermon to make notes together. Members of the youth team will be using the app at the same time so we can answer questions live through the sermon and think about how to apply it to our lives together.

If you are a teenager looking to connect with others and grow in your faith, we invite you to check out our youth ministry.

We would love to have you join us!

I enjoy walking alongside the youth. I get to be part of their conversations about Christianity and see how God transforms their view of the world.

We do believe the church should help with teaching and training kids. But, actually, most of our help for parents and carers is done through relationships.

Prayer

We love God. We want to spend time with him in prayer to grow in intimacy, dependence and expectation for what he can do.
